Society's attitude toward McCandless #2

"He read a lot. Used a lot of big words. I think maybe part of what got him into trouble was that he did too much thinking. Sometimes he tried too hard to make sense of the world, to figure out why people were bad to each other so often. A couple of times I tried to tell him it was a mistake to get too deep into that kind of stuff, but Alex got stuck on things. He always had to know the absolute right answer before he could go on to the next thing."

  1. Some people who did not have that much of knowledge as McCandless, sort of "worshiped" him, but most of the society thought that McCandless should stop thinking too deep about everything. They knew that McCandless has a very big amount of knowledge, and thoughts that normal people would not have, and they believed that that was one of McCandless' problems. He never went away with the answers that a normal person would have just accepted. He wanted to go into depth about everything, and have reasons for all the things that are happening. Sometimes people that do not really care about him thought of that as bothering, but since most of society cared about McCandless, they actually gave him advice, saying that he should be even happier, and have no trouble to go through if he was to think simpler, and sometimes just accept the things even if he does not agree with the answers.
